On May 27th at 5:30PM, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will hold the twelfth race of the year, the Coca Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. This race will be the follow up to the May 19th Sprint Cup break for the Sprint Showdown and the Sprint All-Star Race, which was won by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson respectively. The next race on the calendar is going to be at Dover, and it is called the FedEx 400, held on June 3rd at 12:30PM. Other upcoming races on the calendar include Pocono on June 10th and Michigan on June 17th.
Greg Biffle is the current leader of the Sprint Cup Series standings with 411 points. Just two points away and in second place right now is Matt Kenseth while Dale Earnhardt Jr. coms in at third with 397 points. Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson are the fourth and the fifth placed drivers in the standings while Martin Truex Jr. takes the sixth spot. Tony Stewart is in seventh right now and Kevin Harvick comes in at eighth place. The ninth and the tenth placed drivers are Kyle Busch with 349 points and Carl Edwards with 337.
