On the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this week, the Quaker State 400 will be held at the Kentucky Speedway, on Saturday, June 30th, and this event will be the 17th of the year, held at 6:30PM. The upcoming event on the calendar after this will be the July 7th race which is the Coke Zero 400 and it will be held in Daytona at 6:30PM as well. After that, the series heads off to Loudon, New Hampshire for a race called the Lenox Industrial Tools at Noon on July 15th and then stops in Indianapolis, Indiana and Pocono are planned.
The most recent race on the Sprint Cup sereis was the Sonoma event on June 24th and Clint Bowyer was able to walk away with the title. Other recent winners have include Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Joey Logano. The top driver in the Sprint Cup Series standings right now is Matt Kenseth, who has 596 points. Greg Biffle comes in next with 585 points and then after that we have Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson comes in fourth place. Tony Stewart will take the fifth spot on the Sprint Cup table right now with 533 points.
