On the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Circuit this week, the Fingers Lakes 355 at The Glen, held at the Watkins Glen International on August 12^th at 12:00PM. This will be race number twenty two for the Sprint Cup Series, and what follows on August 19^th is the Pure Michigan 400 at the Michigan Speedway. After that, the series hold the Irwin Tools Night Race on August 25^th and then in September will hold the Advocare 500 first in Atlanta, followed by the Federated Auto Parts 400 in Richmond, Virginia.

The previous Sprint Cup race was in Pocono, California and it was won by Jeff Gordon, on August 5^th. The second placed driver was Kasey Kahne and Martin Truex Jr. came in third for that event. In the standings right now, Dale Earnhardt Jr. leads with 744 points, followed by Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle and Jimmie Johnson. Martin Truex Jr. takes fifth followed by Tony Stewart and Brad Keselowski. Denny Hamlin takes the eighth spot, with Kevin Harvick in ninth place and Clint Bowyer coming in tenth in the standings.
