British Grand Prix Live

The next event on the Formula One Championship calendar will be the 2012 Formula One Santander British Grand Prix, which is scheduled for the sixth through the 8^th of July. This will be the ninth race of the year, and so far it has been shaping up to be a great season so far. We have a couple of drivers who will be starting in a different grid position than they actually quality for, one five spots back and one ten, because of crashes last week, but it should be a very good race. The next event after this is the Grand Prix of Germany.

The most recent race was the European Grand Prix, won by Fernando Alonso with Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton won in Canada and then Mark Webber with RBR Renault was the winner in Monaco. The team championships have Red Bull Racing Renault in first place with 179 points, followed by McLaren-Mercedes with 137 and then Lotus Renault comes in third with 126. As for the drivers, Fernando Alsono is first, followed by Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton in third. Sebastian Vettel is fourth and Nico Rosberg comes in fifth.
