This week, the GP2 Series will be racing in Monaco in support of the Formula One Championship that is being held there. This will be the fourth race of the year for the GP2 Series. They started out the year in Kuala Lumpur, March 23rd through the 25th and then went onto Bahrain, April 20th through the 22nd, finishing out the month of April in Bahrain once again a week later. The most recent stop for the GP2 series was in Barcelona, Spain, from May 11th to the 13th. The next event after Monaco will be from June 22nd to the 24th in Valencia, Spain.
Last year, the winner of the Monaco race number two was number eight, Veitoris with Racing Engineering, and in race number one it was Fellipe. Right now, in the driver's championship, Davide Valsecchi takes the top spot with 129 points. Luiz Razia comes in at second place currently with one hundred and four points and then the third placed driver is James Calado with 69. Fourth is Giedo Van Der Garde and Guiterrez takes fifth. Others in the standings right now include Nasr, Leimer, Chilton and Dillman.
