Kamui Kobayashi and Jean Eric Vergne Penalized for Great Britain Grand Prix
If you watched the race in Valencia, you probably saw the collisions that happened. Well, now two drivers will be facing penalties as they head to the next race in Great Britain. One is Kamui Kobayashi with Sauber and Jean Eric Vergne who is with Toro Rossi. It was Kobayashi who collided with Felipe Massa of Ferrari, and was demoted in the grid five spots. Jean Eric Vergne had a much more serious collision with Heikki Kovalainen's Caterham on the 27th lap and was demoted ten placed and received a 25,000 Euro fine.
Both of these drivers had to leave the race because their cars were too damaged to continue. There was another incident in that race as well, with Michael Schumacher with Mercedes who was investigated for using DRS during the yellow flags, but the Stewards decision was that he had slowed down enough and there was no further action that needed to be taken. The Formula One Season continues with the Great Britain Grand Prix at Silverstone which will be held from the 6th of July to the 8th with the race on Sunday at 1300.
